TANK.TV - JOHN LATHAM

John Latham / Speak / 1968-69 / 16mm
(via tank.tv)

This looks good: tank.tv is extremely pleased to have the rare opportunity to present a selection of John Latham’s films: Unedited Material from the Star, Talk Mr Bard, Speak, Britannica, Erth and more.

MUSIC HUNTER

If anyone wants to give me some music this would be greatly appreciated.

ROLL MAKING

I have had this book since December, and now I have got really used to the dough making technique taught in this book. These are some rolls I made yesterday. The book is called 'Dough by Richard Bertinet.' He makes out making dough is a breeze but you'll need a couple of attempts to perfect it like me. Use fresh yeast - ignore him saying you can use dry yeast - you can't.

OUTSIDE

I saw these cows on Saturday. I don't know what breed they are though, if you know - let me know. I would like to know you see. They don't move much, they just sit down viewing the area.

MORE DOGS

(via ebay)

SILVER DOG

This is my first silver dog. I am looking to getting more in the future.

BEING IN SWEDEN

I acquired this nice looking book recently - 'I thought what a nice book.' However inside it teaches you to be quite rude to people in Sweden. I don't mind though I like the little book.

747

(via guardian)

This plane is quite old now. There are many more nice photographs of it at the link shown above. I've never been on a 747 sadly, I will go on one soon though if I am lucky and can find somewhere to go on it.

BUTTONS

(via magazin)

If you've always wanted to put initials in your button this is the item for you. I think the idea is good although I know people who think the idea is bad.

LE CORBUSIER ETC

(via guardian)

Interesting stuff.

BEER MATS

I aqquired these recently and have finally got around to showing them here.
Cherry B is my favourite.

AIRLINE NAPKINS

(via world of napkins)

This person collects them and puts them on the internet. Nobody else does. However there are some nice ones despite initial connotations of the subject.

YUKEN TERUYA

(via here)

I don't think I can do this type of thing. I don't have the skill. I don't know anyone that does infact. They look very fragile don't they?

UNDERGOUND ART

(via tfl collection)

Find every single last tfl poster you could dream at this location. You can but one of them if you really like one in particular. I like the chicken one the most. There are a few rubbish ones and some of the best ones you cannot buy - but at least you get to see them on screen I figure.

UNDERGROUND

(via Jennifer 8. Lee)

Read this if you want. Read it when you have a spare moment if you like. It's quite interesting but yes. Read it if you would like to.

BARBERS

You should check out this place. It's not far from me and they have a range of options as far as hair cutting goes. It's a good place to go - no negatives at all. Cash only.

I NEED THESE TO SURVIVE

CRESTA RUN

This is me on the Cresta Run.

TYPOGRAPHY: FOUND

(via a blog with an over keen name)

This is some nice type here. Constructing something this grand must feel like a real achievement. You must have to be a Builder/Typographer/Site Manger.

MY LIST IS OVER

I like lists. I usually keep them in a pile. This one has just been completed. If you have any unwanted lists please send them to me.

COW + Joseph Müller-Brockman 1959

(via alki1)

Poster by Joseph Müller-Brockman 1959. This is probably my favourite poster for a range of reasons, I would like one if anyone knows of one?

PORSCHE MUSEUM STUTTGART

(via kultureflash)

This is the most prominent and exciting building that's come to my attention for quite a while. Designed by Roman Delugan from Delugan Meissl Associated Architects in Vienna, Austria; the building only touches the ground in three spots. This makes it seem like something from another planet according to some people who have seen it.

BBC POSTER ART

I don't know if this is good but it's free and big.

CLIMATE UPDATE

On the way out this morning this lady was waiting for the bus. Hadn't she thought to watch the news?

FORDLANDIA

Taken from the Observer Magazine yesterday. It's fairly interesting and hopefully the place is as weird as the woman is making out. I'd like to go there one day, it's a fair way but I know where it is.
